Riders-Bombers Game Postponed-Strike Over

Its good news for football fans.

Last night, the Canadian Football League, and the CFL Players Association reached a tentative agreement to end the four day old strike.

The contract is to run for seven years, with an opt out for the player s in year five.  That is the same year the new TV deal will be negotiated and in place.

The League is trying to keep the other details under wraps, until the board of governors, and the players have a chance to ratify the deal.

Players are reporting to their respective teams today.

The CFL also announced the pre season game between Saskatchewan and Winnipeg planned for the holiday Monday is being moved to Tuesday May 31st, at Mosaic Stadium, with a 6:30 pm kick off.

Saskatchewan’s second pre season game has not been changed.  It will still go Friday, June 3rd at BC Place Stadium in Vancouver.
