The Regina Red Sox were defeated in their season opener by the Swift Current 57’s 7-2 on Sunday night.
The Red Sox had tied the game at 2-2 at the top of the 2nd inning before the 57’s would go on to score 5 unanswered runs to win the game.
John Henry took the loss for Regina as he went four innings allowed six earned runs along with 11 hits and a pair of strikeouts.
Nate Bach had a hit and a RBI for the Red Sox in the loss.
The Red Sox will open their home schedule tomorrow (Tuesday) against Swift Current at Currie Field with first pitch set for 7:05.
