World Milk Day celebrated at A.E. Perry School

Students at A.E. Perry School in Regina were asked a burning question Wednesday: cheese or pepperoni?
The Saskatchewan Milk Board provided free pizza, milk and swag for students at the school for World Milk Day.
Chelsea Wilcoxen, with marketing for the milk board, explained what was going on for the students.
“We’ve got pizza coming in from three separate local restaurants that are providing both cheese and pepperoni pizza for the kids,” she said. “and then we brought some swag items as well.”
Perry was chosen as a random draw among selected schools. Perry student Sadie Capewell and her friends were excited.
“They think it’s amazing just to get free pizza,” she said, adding her choice was pepperoni.
Wilcoxen said a good way to support the local dairy industry is to look for the blue cow logo on products.
“When you support a local dairy farmer, you also support your community because we’re able to come out and do things like this and surprise schools or help out with food bank donations, school milk programs, all of that goes back into the community,” she said.
