Saskatchewan feeder cattle prices were mixed for the week ending May 27th.

The latest figures from the Saskatchewan ministry of Agriculture show feeder steers in the 400 to 500 pound weight category rose 5 dollars per hundredweight to average 247 dollars per hundredweight for the week.

In contrast, the 800 to 900 pound steers were down 2.33 per hundredweight to average 192 dollars 42 cents per hundredweight.

Feeder heifers were also mixed with the 500 to 600 pound weights down 4 dollars 17 cents per hundredweight to average 198 dollars per hundredweight.

The largest gain was in the 800 pound category which averaged 172 dollars 19 cents, up 2 dollars 86 cents per hundredweight from the previous week.
