Fajardo Looking Forward to Some Reps Tonight

It is by no means a long pre season, like you see in other major sports like baseball or hockey.

The Saskatchewan Roughriders will be wrapping up their 2022 pre season schedule with a visit to the “left coast”, and a date with the BC Lions.

Riders Quarterback Cody Fajardo will be playing, and joked that he would like to play the whole game, but noted that decision is in the coaches hands, not his.

Fajardo is looking forward to trying some of things they have been working on in camp, and the position of the hashmarks on the field is a big part of that.

“With the hash marks being a little bit tighter, maybe I will get longer runs in” the quarterback said in an interview before boarding the plane for BC.  “I know it will be a bit longer run to the sidelines, and be safe.  I know some people are worried about that, but my game style is not going to change.  I’m here to help this team win football games”

Fajardo noted BC has a lot of starters in the line up on defense, and he says it should be a good test.

620CKRM’s coverage will start at 5 o’clock today with “Countdown to Kickoff”.  Michael Ball will have the play by play for you at 8 pm.

And after the game, don’t forget to tune into the “5th Quarter” with your host Daniella Ponticelli.
