Gas prices are rising across the country and the city of Regina appears to be catching up with the national average.
Over the last week gas prices have risen over 11 cents per litre. Stations in the queen city now sit at 194.5 cents per litre compared to the national average of 206.3 cents per litre according to gas price website gasbuddy.com
“After a blistering week of gas prices jumping in nearly every town, city and province possible, more bad news is on the horizon. New records will continue to be set as oil prices have jumped to their highest level since March,” said Patrick De Haan, head of petroleum analysis at GasBuddy.
Over the last year gas has risen in Regina by 69.6 cents per litre. At this point in 2021 gas in the Queen City was 124.9 cents per liter.
Gas Prices have risen rapidly over the last year as a tight supply globally has been made worse by the Russian invasion of Ukraine.
