Red Sox sweep Dawgs

The Regina Red Sox moved back to .500 (7-7) after sweeping a two game series with the Okotoks Dawgs, on Wednesday night, the Red Sox beat the Dawgs 5-4 in 12 innings.

Okotoks was leading 3-1 heading into the bottom of the 8th inning before Regina tied the game up. Both teams scored a run in the 11th inning before the Red Sox claimed the victory in the 12th.

CF Nate Bach led the Red Sox at the plate with two hits and a pair of RBIs.

Wilcox product Zane Pollon picked up the win pitching 1.1 innings in relief.

The Dawgs have lost three times this season, with two of them coming against Regina.

The next action for the Red Sox is tonight when they host the Sylvan Lake Gulls, opening pitch is 7:05 at Currie Field.
