Southey RCMP arrest pair of men on drug possession charges

An investigation that spanned over two months has led to Southey RCMP arresting two individuals including drug possession and trafficking charges.

Following an arrest back in April, Southey RCMP began an investigation that led to a pair of men being arrested last Friday.

Officers located and seized a number of packages and syringes of suspected illicit drugs including methamphetamine, cocaine, MDMA and fentanyl, drug trafficking paraphernalia, a sum of cash, a crossbow, three firearms and identification cards in a residence in Southey on June 10.

29 year old Darrian LaPlante of Regina is facing numerous charges including possession of drugs along with possession for the purpose of trafficking.  LaPlante will appear in provincial court in Regina on Tuesday.

44 year old Ryan Robson of Southey is also facing a number of charges including possession of drugs along with possession for the purpose of trafficking.  Robson will appear in provincial court in Regina today (June 17) .

Saskatchewan RCMP Police Dog Services assisted in the safe execution of the search warrant.
