Red Sox shutout Gulls 6-0

The Regina Red Sox have extended their winning streak to four games after they shutout the Sylvan Lake Gulls 6-0.

Preston Tenney earned the win for the Red Sox, he pitched six innings allowed one hit and picked up 11 strikeouts. Tenney’s record with the Red Sox during the 2022 season improves to 2-0 with a 0.00 ERA.

First Baseman Travis Johnson had two hits with a pair of RBIs.

Shortstop Zane Zielinski and Catcher Jackson Alainz each had two hits with a RBI in the win for the Red Sox.

Regina picked up three stolen bases in the win.

The Red Sox is now 8-7 and are 1.5 games back of Swift Current and Moose Jaw for top spot in the Eastern Division.

Next action for the Red Sox is tonight when they visit the Medicine Hat Mavericks.
