A late Friday afternoon swim for five teenagers near Barney’s Beach at Buffalo Pound Lake has turned into a search and rescue mission for one of them.
The group was walking and swimming near the water when wind and waves knocked one of them in, pulling the teen out into the water.
Conservation officers, Moose Jaw Search and Rescue, STARS Air Ambulance and Moose Jaw RCMP have been there searching Friday evening and Saturday trying to find the teen.
The public was asked to avoid the Barney’s Beach area Saturday.
