Regina man charged with aggravated assault

A failed break-and-enter resulted in one man being sent to the hospital.

At 4:05 p.m. on June 17, a man was seen trying to break into a business compound with bolt cutters in the 2100 block of Scarth Street.

When the suspect was confronted by security staff, he allegedly swung the bolt cutters at the legs of the employee, striking him.

The suspect fled, with the victim, a 60-year-old male, being transported to the hospital with serious injuries.

The incident was captured on video, with an investigation leading to the arrest of 32-year-old Walter Bradon Wade Sanderson, who was charged with:

  • Aggravated assault
  • Attempt Break & Enter
  • Resist Arrest
  • Possession of Break-in Instruments

He made his first court appearance in Provincial Court on Monday.
