Regina police services are investigating a collision that occurred in the city’s northwest, and has sent a child to hospital with critical injuries.

In the early morning hours while heading to school the child was struck by a truck on the 200 block of Dalgleish drive.

The timeline of events is still under investigation, but it is believed an adult male struck three parked vehicles and two fences with a truck.

The child was transported to hospital by EMS. There is no further word on the condition of the child, but injuries were listed as “critical” by RPS.

In order to preserve the scene and evidence Dalgleish Drive was blocked for several hours today, with traffic flow being permitted by 2:40 pm.

There is no update on the condition of the child at this time.
