Swift Current holds on for win against Red Sox

A late rally was not enough as the Regina Red Sox were beaten by the Swift Current 57’s 3-1.

The Red Sox scored their lone run in the top of the 9th but were unable to catch the 57’s afterwards.

Preston Tenney took the loss for Regina, he went 7.1 innings, and allowed a pair of earned runs on five hits.

First baseman Travis Johnson had a pair of hits for the Red Sox.

Regina’s record drops down to 10-12 on the season.

Next action for the Red Sox will be tonight when they face off with the Weyburn Beavers at Tom Laing Park
