Charges laid in Regina’s fourth murder case of the year

A woman who was the victim of a recent attempted murder has passed away from her injuries. This results in changes to the charges faced by the two individuals involved in the case.

The victim has been identified as 30 year old Lori Huntinghawk.

The investigation is now a homicide investigation.

On May 23, police were called on a report of an injured woman. As the result of an investigation a pair of individuals were arrested and originally charged with attempted murder.

With the victim’s death last week, the crown has replaced the original charges.

24 year old Tegan LaPlante has been charged with First Degree Murder.

34 year old Ashley Rempel of Regina has been charged with First Degree Murder.

Both individuals made their first court appearance in Provincial Court on Thursday.
