24-year-old charged after driving in oncoming traffic

A 24-year-old Regina woman has been charged after driving dangerously over the weekend.

On Sunday at 4:25 p.m., the Regina Police Service saw a vehicle driving at a high rate of speed on Pasqua Street against oncoming traffic. The vehicle turned eastbound on 4th Avenue and turned southbound again, leaving the officer’s view.

Police located the vehicle abandoned at Dewdney and Elphinstone Street ten minutes later. Ammunition and identification were found in the vehicle.

Police started a canine track leading them to a woman on the 1500 block of Elphinstone Street, where he was arrested and found to violate prohibition orders.

Twenty-four-year-old Keely Shay Felix is charged with:

  • 2x Possession of Firearm/Ammunition Contrary to Prohibition Order
  • Operate Conveyance Dangerous to the Public; and
  • Possession of Property Obtained by Crime Over $5000.

Felix made her first court appearance in Provincial Court on Monday.
