– Montreal earned the East Division it’s first win over the West after their 37-13 victory over Saskatchewan. The Alouettes will be looking to sweep the season series against the Roughriders for the first time since 2016.
– Only two teams are averaging more than 5.0 yards per carry this season: BC 6.5 yards per carry and Montreal with 5.5 yards.
– Saskatchewan’s Pete Robertson leads the league with five sacks through three games and has registered at least one per week.
– The 2010 Canada Day game between Montreal and Saskatchewan – that Saskatchewan won 54-51 in overtime – was voted the Game of the Decade in 2020. That game had the third highest scoring regular season game in CFL history with 105 points and was highest-scoring game since 2000. It was tied for number one with 13 total touchdowns in a single game, including nine touchdown passes. Darian Durant threw for five touchdowns and 481 yards, while Anthony Calvillo threw for four touchdowns and 386 yards.
– Montreal running back Jeshrun Antwi leads the CFL entering week four with 172 yards on the ground, but has yet to find the end zone. Saskatchewan’s Jamal Morrow has 154 yards rushing and one TD.
– Eugene Lewis, Montreal receiver, leads the league with 307 yards but also doesn’t have a major on the season. Saskatchewan’s leading receiver Shaq Evans will be out for a while but leads the Riders with 185 yards receiving.
– Rolan Milligan leads the Riders in total tackles with 18, with Darnell Sankey and Larry Dean just one behind him at 17. Alouette Wes Sutton has 16 tackles on the season, and Mike Jones is one behind him at 15.
– Derrick Moncrief of Saskatchewan is tied for the league lead in interceptions with two. One of the five players he’s tied with is Montreal’s Darius Williams.
– At 11-for-12 Saskatchewan’s Brett Lauther is tied for the league in field goals with 11. Montreal kicker David Cote also has 11 field goals, but has missed two this season.
