Police Use Spike Belt on Stolen Car

A 22 year old is facing numerous charges, after police tracked down a stolen vehicle.

Sunday night, police spotted a grey Nissan Rogue speeding through the intersection of Angus and 4th.

Police determined the vehicle was reported stolen, so they kept an eye on it. It was spotted several times running traffic lights and driving recklessly.

Officers deployed a spike belt, and the car stopped at Ross and Winnipeg.

The driver took off.

After a search by the canine unit, a suspect was picked up.

22 year old Kaleb Braden Ryder of Regina has been charged with two counts of “property obtained by crime”.

He will be back in court August 18th
