Former Saskatchewan Roughrider and University of Regina Ram punter Jon Ryan signed with the Hamilton Tiger-Cats on Sunday.

The Regina product spent two seasons (2019,2021) with the Riders after a lengthy career in the NFL with the Green Bay Packers and Seattle Seahawks.

In addition to Ryan, Hamilton also signed American kicker, Seth Small to a deal on Sunday.

The Ti-Cats opened the season in Mosaic Stadium meaning Ryan will not return to his hometown this season unless he advances to the Grey Cup in November.

Hamilton is winless at 0-4 and will host Ottawa who shares the same record as the Ti-Cats on Saturday.
