Third youth charged in Regina’s sixth homicide of 2022

A third youth has been charged with First-Degree Murder concerning Regina’s sixth homicide of 2022.

The investigation began on June 29 when police were called to an alley in the 1200 block of Rae Street at about 2:20 a.m. When officers arrived, they found a deceased 14-year-old in the alley and an injured 32-year-old woman.

The accused 14-year-old youth made his first court appearance in Youth Court on Friday, July 15. He is also charged with fail to comply with release order and fail to comply with condition.

The youth becomes the third person charged with First-Degree Murder in relation to the homicide as a 15-year-old and 17-year-old have also been charged.
