Four arrested after weekend break and enter

A break and enter over the weekend has led to four-people facing charges.

On Saturday, July 16, at 4:30 a.m., police were dispatched to a residence on the 900 block of Lindsay Street for the report of a break and enter in progress. A woman had called stating that an unknown woman was attempting to enter, then the dispatcher heard shouting and screaming for help.

When police arrived, they saw occupants fleeing on foot and heard screaming from the residence. When police entered, they saw a masked male suspect who fled with other suspects.

An officer deployed a Police Service Dog who bit a 31-year-old male who was arrested.

Police located a 16-year-old woman who has arrested a short distance from the residence. She was identified and found to be wanted for breach of probation.

Another, a 31-year-old man who fled the scene, was also located and arrested. He was also in breach of probation and had an outstanding warrant for being unlawfully at large.

A 35-year-old man was the last arrested in the incident and was arrested for assaulting the victim with a crowbar.

Thirty-five-year-old Zackary Michael Prettysheild, 31-year-old Chase Elliot Windigo, 21-year-old Chase Quewezance and a 16-year-old are joining charged with break and enter.

Prettysheild is also charged with Assault With a Weapon.

Quewezance is also charged with:

  • Fail to Comply with Disposition;
  • Careless Storage of Firearm;
  • Use of Firearm During Indictable Offence; and
  • Possess Firearm/Ammunition Contrary to Prohibition Order.

The youth is also charged with Fail to Comply with Disposition.

The three adult accused made their first appearance in Provincial Court on Monday, with the youth making her first appearance on her charges in Provincial Youth Court on Monday.
