Pats Howe and Wood selected to Canada’s team at Hlinka/Gretzky Cup

Two members of the Regina Pat organization have been selected to represent Team Canada at the U18 Hlinka/Gretzky Cup in Red Deer this summer.

Tanner Howe and Matthew Wood will be wearing the maple leaf from July 31-Aug 6. Both players were apart of Canada’s team at the U18 World Hockey Championships in Germany this past spring.

In two exhibition games during selection camp, Howe scored a goal which was assisted by Wood. The 16 year old forward was the Pats rookie leader in all offensive categories last season.

Wood had four points during the exhibition games at the selection camp which was tied for first.
