New CEO ready to take reigns of Canadian Western Agribition

Canadian Western Agribition (CWA) has named its new CEO.

Shaun Kindopp has been named as the new CEO, with his first day on the job starting on August 2nd

“Just the brand that exhibition has and just how passionate everybody you talk to about Agribition is, whether it be the volunteers, the staff, just anytime that you bring it up, everybody is so passionate,” Kindopp said. “It was a no-brainer for me.”

“I am incredibly honoured to be joining an organization with such a prestigious reputation and brand across Canada,” he said. “Last year’s 50th-anniversary show was incredible, and I am looking forward to carrying that positive momentum into this year’s event.”

Kindopp’s appointment comes after a comprehensive recruitment process by CWA’s Board of Directors, which began in May of 2022.

Kindopp will be joining CWA after spending ten years in the event and entertainment industry, previously serving as Director of Corporate Partnerships and Sales at one of CWA’s long-standing community partners, Regina Exhibition Association Limited (REAL).

Kindopp led REAL’s corporate partnerships and sales department while overseeing sponsorship property for all REAL events, including a successful Canada’s Farm Show this past summer. Before joining REAL, Kindopp spent five years at the Regina Pats Hockey Club as a Senior Account Executive of Corporate Partnerships.

Kindopp replaces Chris Lane, who was named the new CEO for Economic Development Regina earlier this year.
