Thunder hire first full-time female coach in franchise history

It is believed that the Regina Thunder have hired the first full time female coach in CJFL history with the appointment of Adrienne Zuck as the team’s defensive backs coach.

Zuck has a lengthy list of credentials from her playing days. She was an all-star linebacker for the Regina Riot of the Western Women’s Canadian Football League (WWCFL). She was a member of the Riot’s three WWCFL Championships (2015,2017 &2018). Zuck was also selected as the Riots MVP in 2019.

As a coach, Zuck began her career working with Regina Minor Football. She worked with the Thom, Winston Knoll and Campbell high school programs. Zuck returned as a coach for the Riot in 2022.

Besides football, Zuck also coaches gymnastics and weight lifting at high school and university levels.

The Thunder opened training camp last week, they open their season on Sunday, August 14.
