Two dead and two in hospital with serious injuries after collision south of Prince Albert

Two people died, and two more, including a child, are in hospital with serious injuries after a collision on Wednesday night.

Prince Alberta RCMP responded to a collision at 8:40 p.m. on Wednesday on Highway #11 south of MacDowall, 370 kilometres north of Regina.

An investigation determined that two pickup trucks had collided.

The driver and the sole occupant of the northbound pickup truck, a 16-year-old female, was pronounced dead at the scene.

There were three people in the southbound pickup truck. The driver of the southbound pickup truck, a 46-year-old male, was also pronounced dead at the scene.

The passenger of the southbound truck was transported to the hospital with serious injuries. A child under the age of five was transported to the hospital by STARS with serious injuries.

RCMP do not have an update on their conditions.
