Summer Slam returns to Raymore this weekend

After a couple years’ hiatus, Raymore’s Summer Slam is back once again.
Friday, Saturday and Sunday, the stage in Raymore will be filled with Canadian country artists.
“Friday night we have Route 605 and Odd Man Out playing,” said organizer Aaron Miller. “They start at 9 o’clock Friday night. Saturday, the main stage starts at 5:30 with Justin LaBrash followed by Beverley Mahood. And the main act is Gord Bamford Saturday night.”
With the stages being set up and the talent coming in,
“Everyone’s looking forward to it and getting excited here,” Miller said. “Lots of tens were set up (Wednesday) night, and a few campers rolled in. But everyone’s getting excited around town.”
This would have been the 11th year of the event, but COVID cancelled the last two years.
“In 2012, we had Trooper the first year as kind of a one night thing and it evolved into three nights,” Miller said.
The Sunday night used to be the
Sunday it’s J.J. Voss, Tommy John Ehman and the Road Hammers.
