Pats Howe opens scoring as Canada wins Gold at Hlinka/Gretzky Cup

Canada claimed the gold medal at the Hlinka/Gretzky Cup with 4-1 win over Sweden on Saturday in Red Deer.

Regina Pat forward, Tanner Howe scored the icebreaker for Team Canada.

Sweden would tie the game before Canada would regained the advantage for good when Ethan Gauthier scored late in the first period.

The Moose Jaw Warriors Brayden Yager scored Canada’s fourth goal of the game.

Pats prospect Matthew Wood was also a member for Team Canada
