Dandy Dalke Ready For Home Cooking

Rookie defensive back Jayden Dalke is looking forward to this Saturday’s road game against the Elks. The Edmonton native, who was selected in the 6th round of the 2022 draft,   played more snaps than he expected against the Elks in week two because of injuries and the ejection of his teammate Derrick Moncrief. ” We got the W; I made a few plays and every time I looked up at section X I saw people in the stands cheering for me. I think the same thing is going happen this Saturday except some Rider-Dalke fans might spill into section Y too!”

Dalke has made 8 defensive tackles and chipped in 3 more on special teams. The former U of A Golden Bear and Edmonton Wildcat says the pro game is slowing down for him.  “Just by practicing every day with guys on a higher level it helps you adjust to game speed.  Lanier, Edem and Moncrief have really helped me out.”

Dalke and the 4-4 Roughriders travel to Edmonton on Saturday hoping to put some distance between themselves and the Elks in the West Division Standings.
