Stolen Vehicle Leads to Guns, and Drugs

Regina police were looking into a stolen vehicle, but further inspection uncovered a whole lot more.

It started early Wednesday morning, around 2:50am,  when officers on patrol found a Ford Escape parked in an alley in the 400 block of Arthur Street between First and Second avenue north.  The vehicle was stolen.  Police found a 28 year old man, and an 18 year old woman in the car and also spotted what appeared to be a sawed off .22 calibre rifle on the floor.  Both people were arrested.  Further investigation uncovered ammunition for the gun, and bear spray. Police also found meth and fentanyl.

18 year-old Timber Mabele Nashacappo and 28 year-old River Rain Peters both of Regina are facing numerous charges including possession of stolen property, possession of an unauthorized fire arm, and possession of drugs.

Both made court appearances Wednesday.
