Minor Train Derailment Blocks Traffic

Traffic is moving again, after what is being called a minor train derailment at Elphinstone and Saskatchewan Drive.

It slowed the surging road and foot traffic making its way to Mosaic Stadium for the Labour Day Classic.

Canadian Pacific Rail has not yet commented.

The problem was cleared in about an hour, once again allowing the sold-out crowd access to the stadium.

That corner is usually blocked on Elphinstone by pieces of heavy equipment during game days for security reasons, and is only accessible to foot traffic.
