APAS hires new executive director

Saskatchewan’s general farm group has a new executive director.

APAS has hired Dion McGrath to replace APAS general manager Duane Haave, who retired in late August.

McGrath grew up on a mixed grain and hog farm near LeRoy and has had executive roles in the public sector and previous served as CEO of Southeast College in Weyburn and worked with his partner to create a digital marketing company called Above the Fold.

McGrath says farm policy is dynamic and affects everyday life across the province in economic, social and environmental ways.

He wants to hold consultations with farmer members to hear their latest concerns about farm policy.
