Good news for many in Saskatchewan as the minimum wage will go up on October 1st from 11.95 an hour to 13 dollars an hour.
The bad news? It’ll still be the lowest in Canada, still lower than Manitoba and New Brunswick’s scheduled raises.
Manitoba, at 11.95 now, is bumping theirs up to $13.50, while New Brunswick is at 12.70 now and is moving to 13.75. When the rates hike across the country on October 1st, Saskatchewan’s minimum wage will be 50 cents cheaper than any other province or territory in Canada.
