Moose Jaw city employee struck by vehicle in work zone

A City of Moose Jaw employee was struck by a vehicle whose driver illegally entered a closed work area in the Notorious City.

The incident occurred Monday, at about 2:25 p.m. at a work zone on the 1100 block of 13thAvenue NW.

The employee suffered non-life-threatening injuries due to the incident and Moose Jaw Police are investigating.

City Manager Jim Puffault said the city are upset and discouraged by the incident.

“This work zone had clearly marked signage and was properly barricaded, yet those signs were ignored, endangering the lives of our crew. Our thoughts go towards our employee and their family. Thankfully the injuries weren’t more severe.”
