A break down on city business hours on Thanksgiving Day

On Monday, October 10th, many families will be busy stuffing turkeys and making mashed potatoes for Thanksgiving Day.

Many businesses around the city will be closed for the holiday including some city facilities.

Here’s a breakdown of what city operations will be running on Thanksgiving Day.

  • City Offices will be closed.
  • The Landfill and Yard Waste Depot will be open from 7 a.m. until 7 p.m. Entry gates will close at 6:45 p.m.
  • The Garbage and Recycling Collection will run as usual.
  • Regina Transit will be running according to Sunday routes and schedules. The Transit Information Centre and RIDELine will be closed.
  • The Paratransit service will be operating within its holiday hours between 8 a.m. and 7 p.m.
  • Offices for Riverside Memorial Park and Regina Cemeteries  will be closed but the gates for cemeteries will be open from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m.
  • North West Leisure Centre will be open from 12 p.m. to 6 p.m.
  • Sandra Schmirler Leisure Centre will be open from 12 p.m. to 6 p.m.
  • Regina Sportsplex Fieldhouse will be open from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m.
  • Lawson Aquatic Centre will be open from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m.
  • Parking meters will not be in effect.
