Pats comeback falls short against Lethbridge

The Regina Pats collected a single point on Sunday afternoon as they were defeated by the Lethbridge Hurricanes 4-3 in a shootout at the Brandt Centre.

The Hurricanes held a 3-0 lead over the Pats heading into the final frame before the Pats surged back scoring three times. Cole Dubinsky, Luke Bateman and Tanner Howe picked up goals for Regina.

Dubinsky’s goal was his 100th point of his WHL career.

Connor Bedard was able to extend his point streak with an assist on Howe’s goal.

Overtime settled nothing as the game was settled in a shootout. In the fourth round, Tyson Zimmer ended the game with the only goal of the shootout.

Matthew Kieper made 19 saves for Regina.

The next action for the Pats is Thursday when they face their rival Moose Jaw Warriors.

The game can be heard on 620 CKRM, with the opening faceoff at 7:00.
