Slow start sinks Pats in Moose Jaw

 

On the strength of scoring four first period goals, the Moose Jaw Warriors defeated the Regina Pats 5-2 on Thursday night.

The Pats were able to score a pair of goals in the second period.

Stanislav Svozil and Connor Bedard scored for Regina.

For Bedard the goal extended his point streak to eleven games on the season, as he currently leads the WHL in points (20) and in goals (10).

Drew Sim took the loss as he made 37 saves in the loss for Regina.

The Pats were unable to score on the powerplay as they went 0/3.

Regina won’t have to wait until they get another crack at the Warriors, as the two teams will meet on Sunday, with the opening faceoff at 4:00 at the Brandt Centre.
