Police need help identifying body

The Regina Police Service, along with the Saskatchewan Coroners Service, is asking for the public’s assistance in discovering the identity of the deceased man that was found Thursday afternoon.

The body was found near Willow Island in Wascana Park.

Regina Fire and Protective Services assisted in recovering the deceased individual. Both police and coroner attended the scene, and are working to determine the nature of this death.

Despite current efforts, the body’s identity remains unknown to police at this time. Where the man entered the water also remains undetermined.

The deceased person is described as male, appearing approximately 60 to 70 years old, approximately 5’3” tall, medium build, wearing a grey long-sleeved quarter-zip top, black Columbia fleece jacket, black North Face rain jacket, black pants, green, blue, and white Asics running shoes; and grey crew socks.
