SaskTel reports several service outages

SaskTel has released a public service announcement about some major service outages in several communities just west of Regina.

Due to the power outages from the first winter storm, all of SaskTel’s services including internet, landline, and wireless have been completely wiped out in Caronport, Tuxford, and Briercrest. All landlines services are facing an outage in and around the communities of Buffalo Pound Lake, Drinkwater, and Marquis.

SaskTel has been unable to restore the services due to highway conditions.

The company did say in its announcement that as soon as the conditions improve, crews will be dispatched to the affected areas and services will be restored as quickly as possible.

SaskTel also anticipates that other communities in these areas may experience service outages if travel conditions continue to prevent them from going and fixing the issues.

People can stay up to date on service outages by visiting SaskTel’s Twitter page @SaskTelSupport or by visiting its website.
