REAL partners with local brewery Rebellion Brewing

The Regina Exhibition Association Limited (REAL) and Rebellion Brewing Company have announced they are partnering up.

Rebellion is now the official craft beer partner of the REAL District.

Visitors to the REAL District can now enjoy Rebellion’s Amber Ale while attending events at the Brandt Centre and the WP Lounge in The Co-operators Centre.

Rebellion President and CEO Mark Heise said he’s ecstatic about the partnership.

“It is a dream come true for a small local business to have our products available to visitors and performers from around the world and partner with a quality organization like REAL.”

“It’s a real feather in our cap. I think we make a pretty darn good beer,” he continued. “Most folks that work here at Rebellion are from Regina. I remember driving over there (REAL District) early in the morning for hockey practice, for Pats games; it means a lot to our folks.”

Heise said he saw people at a Regina Pats game enjoying a beer.

“The fellow behind me in line saw me put the beer on the counter, his eyes opened wide, and he said, ‘I didn’t know we could get Rebellion here!’ and he picked up a couple of cans for himself. It felt good to see people genuinely excited about the beer.”

Tim Reid, the President and CEO of REAL, said that they are thrilled to be able to partner with a local company.

“To partner with someone who is as creative with his brand as we like to be with ours, is passionate about the City of Regina as we are. It’s just a natural synergy.”

Reid added he feels after the last couple of years; it’s more important than ever to support local businesses.

The partnership is part of REAL Flavours, an initiative that supports local producers, processors and distributors through various programs.
