October weather stats reflect warmer and drier than normal in Sask

The weather office says weather in October across Saskatchewan was mostly warm and dry.

Environment Canada meteorologist Terri Lang says Yorkton and Saskatoon had only 28 percent of normal moisture, but a snowstorm put Regina just 6 percent below normal for the month.

For temperature, Lang says Regina was 5.8 degrees, about 1.5 degrees above normal.

Moose Jaw was one degree above normal while Saskatoon was 3 degrees higher than average at 7.1 degrees.
