Immigration and Career Training Minister Jeremy Harrison has announced that the fourth flight of roughly 200 Ukrainian resettlers is scheduled to land in Saskatchewan this month.
This is the fourth of five flights of resettlers to land in the province. The five-flight series is the agreement of a partnership between the Saskatchewan Government and humanitarian organizations Solidaire and Open Arms.
“The government of Saskatchewan, along with a number of community groups, organizations and individuals continue to provide settlement support to the Ukrainian families arriving into our province. We are proud of the continuous generosity that has been shown by the people of Saskatchewan,” says Harrison.
The province is preparing for the flight to land in Saskatoon on November 23rd.
Once the flight has landed, the province will have welcomed approximately 23,00 displaced Ukrainians since the war began.
When they land, the resettlers will have access to temporary accommodations and a wide variety of resettlement services and support to help them adjust to living in Saskatchewan.
