Pats start busy weekend in Swift Current

A very busy weekend for the Regina Pats kicks off tonight in Swift Current, as the Pats meet the Broncos.

Regina is coming off a 7-4 victory against Edmonton on Wednesday night that closed a five game homestand. Borya Valis recorded his first career hat trick, Connor Bedard extended his point streak to 16 games with a five point outing against the Oil Kings.

The Pats will be looking to move over the .500 mark as they sit at 8-8-1.

Swift Current last action was at the Brandt Centre when they picked up a 5-2 win against the Pats. The win marked the first time this season the Broncos defeated the Pats in three matchups this season.  Over their last six regular season contests, the Broncos have won five of those contests.

Following tonight’s game, the Pats will return home to host Red Deer tomorrow night, before kicking off ten consecutive games on the road in Saskatoon.

Coverage of tonight’s game on 620 CKRM begins with the pregame show 6:35, opening faceoff 7:00.
