Meadow Lake RCMP responds to a possible homicide

On Saturday at roughly 4:30 a.m., Meadow Lake RCMP responded to a report of a man in medical distress at a residence on Waterhen Lake First Nation.

Officers arrived and located the injured man.

He was then pronounced dead by EMS at the scene.

He has been identified as a 36-year-old man from Waterhen Lake First Nation.

His family has been notified of the incident and his name is not being released at this time.

His death is being considered a homicide and Saskatchewan RCMP’s Major Crimes and the Saskatchewan Coroners Service have taken over the investigation.
