Sask. Pastor Responsible for Online Harassment

An independent investigation was conducted and now a Lutheran Pastor has resigned from the Lutheran Church of Canada.

Former Pastor Todd Guggenmos – who had worked in Langenburg – resigned after it was revealed that he was behind a twitter account that posted thousands of demeaning and harassing tweets to several individuals over the course of two years using foul language and targeting women specifically.

One victim of the harassment was Cate Erickson – who has been vocally calling attention to abuses that were suffered at the Legacy Christian Academy. Her story and the allegations she has brought forward have lead to harassment, and intimidation, including having her home vandalized recently.

Guggenmos was responsible for one of the accounts targeting Erickson via social media.

In a statement released by the Lutheran Church of Canada the church stopped short of an apology for the conduct of the former Pastor- but did offer sorrow and prayer for all those affected.
