The holidays invite all kinds of shopping – including car thieves shopping for opportunity.

The Regina city police are reminding people this holiday season that thieves are looking for quick grabs while victims are leaving their cars running.

In November RPS had 71 reports of stolen vehicles, with 33 of those being calls where the keys were left inside the vehicle.

Police encourage Regina residents to always lock vehicles and take keys with them, and avoid leaving your car running to pop into a store – even for a few minutes.
