The city of Regina has given an official ending date for their warming bus.
The bus was used as an overnight shelter for the homeless population in the city, but recently federal funding came to the Awasiw Warming Centre – funding that will keep that place open overnights.
Monday at 7:45 a.m. will be the moment when the bus’s doors close for good. The City of Regina still supports the Mobile Crisis Helpline.
During periods of extreme cold, if someone is facing a life-threatening emergency, call 911. If you are in need of support or are seeking shelter, call 306-757-0127, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, or find them online at mobilecrisis.ca
