Extreme cold warnings in province as mercury plummets tonight

Bundle up tonight!

Saskatchewan tonight will be cold, as nearly all areas in the province have an extreme cold warning.

The coldest windchill values will be between minus 40 and minus 45 overnight, according to Environment and Climate Change Canada. Regina has a forecast low of -33 with a windchill of -43.

The extremely cold conditions will improve tomorrow as warmer air enters the region.

Frostbite can develop within minutes on exposed skin, especially with windchill, Environment and Climate Change Canada says.
