Riders sign former Louisiana State University o-lineman Hawkins

The Saskatchewan Roughriders have signed offensive tackle Jerald Hawkins.
Hawkins  played 19 games in the NFL after being drafted by Pittsburgh in the 4th round of the 2016 NFL draft.

Hawkins is 6-6, 305 pounds, and helped Louisiana running back Leonard Fournette set school records for single season rushing yards (1,953), rushing touchdowns (22) in 2015.
Before heading to the NFL, Hawkins played four seasons with Louisiana State University, where he and the Tigers won the Texas Bowl in his senior year.
