A local family is hosting a blanket drive to donate to Pasqua Hospital’s Palliative Care Centre.
Kenton Dobrowolski was a 32-year-old local family man who owned Dunbar Landscaping and Construction.
After a long 3-year battle with laryngeal cancer, Dobrowolski passed away in the Palliative Care Centre in the Pasqua Hospital on October 25.
“Our son was kind and caring. There wasn’t one person in the world he wouldn’t help. So, my husband and I came up with the idea to do Blankets for Kenton. All of the Blankets that are going to be donated will be taken to the Pasque Hospital Palliative Unit or the children’s unit,” says Jacki Dobrowolski, Kenton’s mother.
The Dobrowolski’s are looking to donate these blankets in memory of Kenton to help support the families in the Palliative Care Centre with terminal loved ones.
“The palliative unit is an incredible unit. The nurses and doctors were so kind and caring. We just wanted to do something to help the families,” says Dobrowolski.
They’re looking for donations of new adult or children’s blankets. The blankets donated must be new because they’re going into the hospital.
Blankets can be dropped off at various locations in Regina:
