After a successful first year, Frost Regina is returning February 3rd to 12th.
The festival will be returning in the next year with Federated Co-Operatives Limited as the title sponsor for the winter festival.
From ice sculptures in Confederation Park to sledding and sleigh rides in Wascana Park, Co-Chair of the Regina Winter Festival Committee, Councillor Lori Bresciani, said it’s going to be an amazing ten days.
“I think we are going to increase the times; we are looking at doing more events that are really popular; we are also doing to go some stuff indoors too, so we are going to balance off that.”
Bresciani added that new for this year is the launch of the Frost Regina website, which will feature information about all the events happening.
Heather Ryan, the chief executive officer for Federated Co-operatives Limited, said they are excited to partner with Frost Regina.
“I look forward to creating many new experiences as part of this exciting excitement; on behalf of FCL, we are pleased to enter into a multi-year commitment to become the presenting sponsor of FROST Regina.”
Ryan said that with over 1,000 employees calling Regina and the area home, it was important for them to continue their presence in the community.
“We are proud to invent in the people and places that we call home,” she said, “It’s our pleasure to work with the organizing committee, and respective partners to ensure FROST Regina, presented by Co-Op, offers this community a tremendous winter experience full of fun, excitement, and wellness, ultimately celebrating Regina as a truly great winter city.”
Tickets will go on sale at Sherwood Co-Op locations in Regina on Friday.
