2023 CFL Schedule released

 

On Tuesday, the Canadian Football League (CFL) announced the schedule for the upcoming season.

The Saskatchewan Roughriders will open the regular season on the road when they visit the Edmonton Elks on Sunday, June 11 with a 5:00 kickoff.

Saskatchewan’s 2023 regular season home opener at Mosaic Stadium will take place on Friday June,16 when the Riders host the Winnipeg Blue Bombers, the opening kickoff is set for 7:00.

Over the course of the 2023 season, there will be one home game on a Thursday (July 6 vs Edmonton) along with a pair of Friday games, three Saturday games and three Sunday games.

The Sunday home games will take place on Sunday August 6th against the Ottawa Redblacks, the second is on Sunday, August 20th versus the B.C. Lions and the third is the Labour Day Classic against Winnipeg.

Next season, Saskatchewan will meet the Montreal Alouettes once on Friday August 11 in Montreal and will host the Hamilton Ti-Cats on Saturday, October 7 in the only contest between the two teams. Also in 2023, the Roughriders will meet each divisional opponent three times.

The Roughriders Week 8 matchup against Toronto will be played in a netural site marking the second straight year the green and white will not played in Toronto.

Saskatchewan will close the season at home against the Argos on October 21.

Next season, the Roughriders bye weeks will take place during the Canada Day long weekend, Week 12 (Aug.24-27) and Week 21, the final week of the regular season.

The 2023 Grey Cup is set for Sunday November 19 in Hamilton with the Divisional Semi-Finals scheduled for Saturday November 4 and the Divisional Finals set for November 11.

Saskatchewan will host the BC Lions on Saturday May 27 in their lone home preseason game.
